About this recipe
I fell in love with the old-school recipes for peanut butter playdough when I was in my early teens and loved having fun activities for the children I was babysitting.
Back then, I used a simple recipe that was from one of my mom’s church cookbooks.

Nowadays, I have tweaked it a bit so that it has a bit of a better texture and sweetness to it…plus, I now make it in “parts” instead of having set cup amounts of everything.
I feel like it’s just plain easier to adjust the recipe to whatever amount you need, whether it be a super small batch of play dough, or one for a herd of children.

Well, there you have it…my favorite way to make an edible play dough with peanut butter.
If you’re going to have this count as a snack for the kiddo’s on any level… I do suggest pairing it with a little cup of milk so they’re getting a bit more protein in there with so much sugar, lol.
FAQ’s
If tightly covered and refrigerated, you should be able to make this dough and store it for up to three days before use (only doing so if it has not been played with, this is more of a “one-time-use” recipe).
