About this recipe
This recipe is pretty dear to me. It’s an old one from my Grandma Utahna’s personal recipe box and she used to make it all the time when I was a teenager.
I don’t know where grandma got it from (she called it “pumpkin pie dessert”), I’m definitely not claiming any credit for it, it was just a family favorite that I wanted to share.
This pumpkin cake pie recipe reminds me of a mix between a pie and a cake mix based cobbler. The texture is FANTASTIC!
Many people that try it say that they love it even though they don’t even like pumpkin pie.
How to make it (free recipe card and photo tutorial found here):

Notes
This tastes best served warm and fresh. I like to top this with something like whipped topping, vanilla ice cream, or my easy vanilla pudding mousse.

FAQ’s
I don’t recommend making this dessert more than a few hours before you desire serving it. Anything moist with pumpkin kinda gets a bit soggy if you store it for long.
