Vanilla pudding chocolate chip cookies are a delightful twist on the classic chocolate chip cookie, offering a unique texture and flavor that elevates this beloved treat to new heights. Infused with the creamy richness of vanilla pudding, these cookies boast an irresistibly soft and chewy consistency, perfectly complemented by pockets of melted chocolate chips.
About this recipe
If you’re new here, you may have missed it…but I originally shared this recipe with my blog followers back in 2012.
I fell in love with the cookie dough that is found at The Pizza Factory restaurants here in Utah when I was a teenager, so I just had to find a copycat recipe (yes, these are a copycat recipe for the chocolate chip cookies at the Pizza factory).
The original recipe that I found was great, but needed a bit of tweaking, so these are the final product and it’s the recipe that I use when I get a hankering for cookie dough or actual chocolate chip cookies.
Plus, something about that vanilla pudding in the dough just makes them the perfect texture!

FAQ’s
Obviously, of course you can… but I actually don’t recommend it for this particular recipe. Don’t get me wrong…
I typically think that semi-sweet is the way to go for a chocolate chip cookie, but they just don’t taste as good as milk chocolate when mixed with the vanilla pudding and almond extract.
