About this recipe
This is one of those recipes that I love making when I need to feed a large family with little effort, or if I just want to have a lot of yummy left-overs in the fridge for grazing.
I developed this recipe with the mindset “what is the least amount of ingredients I can use and still make it taste good”…
My favorite thing about this dish is that I can make it, including the pasta, all in the one “pot” and it really only takes five to ten minutes of actual work on my part to get the job done.
Feel free to add whatever you want to it to make it taste just the way that you want to.
I like to pair my buffalo chicken crock pot pasta with a green salad, and it does taste best when drizzled with ranch dressing and a sprinkle of green onions.

How to make it
Easy CrockPot Buffalo Chicken Pasta
If Buffalo Wings and Mac 'N Cheese had a baby, this creamy and delicious meal would be it. A new twist on an old favorite.
Ingredients
- 1/4 Cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 8 to 10 Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts
- 1 (15 oz) Bottle Chunky Bleu Cheese Ranch Dressing
- 1/2 Cup Frank's Red Hot Buffalo Wing Sauce (use more if desired)
- 6 Cups Hot Water
- 1 (2 lb) Package Large Shell or Penne Pasta
Instructions
- Using an 8 Quart slow cooker, grease the crock with the Extra Virgin Olive Oil all around and up the sides.
- Then add the Chicken, Bleu Cheese Ranch Dressing, and Buffalo Sauce.
- Add your lid. Cook on High for 3-4 hours (do 4 hours if using frozen Chicken) or Low for 6-7 hours.
- Once the time has passed, remove the Chicken Breasts and chunk it up to your desired size and return it to the Crock.
- Add the HOT water and Pasta. Stir well, cover, and come back to stir every 15-20 minutes for one hour.
- The pasta should now be set up. Allow to cool for a few minutes. It’s ready to serve!
Notes
* If it’s too runny, leave the lid off for a while and stir every few minutes, this will evaporate any extra liquid.
** If the pasta hasn’t set up, you may need to add more hot water, stir, put your lid back on and check it again in 15 minutes… this is the basics to cooking pasta in a Slow Cooker.**
