Peanut Brittle (My Mom’s Recipe)

Mix together:
2 C Sugar
1 C Karo
½ C Water
Boil until at a thin thread stage.

2 C Raw Peanuts
Stir Constantly. Cook until light golden in color. Then turn off heat.

Stir in (quickly):
1 &½ tsp Salt
1 &½ tsp Butter
1 &½ tsp Vanilla
2 tsp Soda

Pour into a buttered pan, let cool then break into pieces.  (Mom always uses a cookie sheet for the pan)
