Oral Rehydration Solution

This is a recipe that everyone should have on hand or know for emergency preparedness in case of dehydration.  I personally don’t want to be helpless if there is a natural disaster and my children get sick. So here it is:

A handful of Sugar
A pinch of Salt
1 liter(about 34 ounces) of clean drinking water

Mix all ingredients well until sugar and salt have somewhat dissolved.  I prefer to heat the water a bit so that it dissolves better, but you don’t need to. I’ve used this in the past when my baby was sick and we didn’t have money to go buy her pedialite. Make sure to print it out and/or share with others.  *I got this recipe off of a continuing education video at my last job, though I’ve searched and found very similar recipes a couple of other places online.*
